As we look toward the future, we are committed to bringing new life to the historic location while honoring the traditions that have made it a favorite destination for generations.
A Look Back at The Boat House’s History
The original Boat House structure was built around 1903 as a boat livery service for Lake Minocqua. At a time when boating was central to local transportation and tourism, the waterfront quickly became a popular destination for residents and summer visitors.
In 1972, a devastating fire destroyed the original wooden Bosacki’s Boathouse. Rebuilding presented a unique challenge because of the structure’s location on-the-water location, but strong community support helped secure permission from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to rebuild in the original location.
Through changing seasons, ownership, and renovations, The Boat House has remained a recognizable part of Lake Minocqua’s waterfront.
A New Chapter for The Boat House
The new design draws inspiration from the community and its connection to the lake. Every detail is being considered to best optimize the lakeside dining experience while honoring Minocqua history.
Guests can look forward to beautiful views of Lake Minocqua, expanded opportunities for outdoor dining, the beautiful original bar, and overall, thoughtfully designed spaces suited for everything from casual dinners to delightful celebrations.
